See the MMACC Calendar for details regarding Adult, Children and Youth Programs and Spiritual Formation.
In the spirit of the contemplative practices of the early church, all are welcome to come on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. for a time centering prayer - prayer that is "centered entirely on the presence of God" as described by Thomas Merton. We are a member of Contemplative Outreach - North San Diego.
Books of any genre are suggested by community members and then voted on by those who would like to attend. The subject matter touches a wide variety of matters of faith. We currently meet the fourth Wednesday of the month, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Shaped on the interests of the community, an education series is put together each year from September to May. Speakers are often brought in to present. A more intensive thematic study is usually offered during Lent. See Special Events or MMACC Calendar.
YOUTH & CHILDREN
Children's Liturgy & Youth Round Table
During our weekly 5 p.m. Liturgy, children (ages 3 and older) are invited to their own Liturgy of the Word. Every other week we hold the "Youth Round Table" where middle school and high school youth gather also during Liturgy. We begin Liturgy together. If the students, children or youth, would like to go, they are excused with the teacher before our Readings.
First Eucharist Catechism
Children 6 and older learn all about Liturgy as they prepare hearts and minds for full communion. The class runs from September to May, celebrating First Eucharist on Pentecost.
Confirmation preparation is offered as requested or needed.
