Mary Magdelene Apostle Catholic Community (MMACC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. The Community believes that parishioners have significant say in the governance of the parish and that community participation and input is the life blood of the parish.
We believe the best model for parish governance is a representative democracy. Our governing structure is based upon this model. As a nonprofit, we have a Board of Directors with legal duties, accountable to state rules. In addition, we have a Community Council that has been given decision-making capability and oversight of the ministries of MMACC. The community-at-large elects members to serve rotating terms for the Board of Directors and Community Council. Committees of the Community Council, made up of interested community members, help get the work done. The Board, the Community Council, and the community members together call priests to serve on the Pastoral Team as needed. The members of the Board, Community Council, and the Pastoral Team are servant leaders, who bring the hopes, dreams and vision of the community to reality.
