Our Priorities

Sustainability

MMACC commits to planning for and supporting: (a) a woman priest as pastor, and (b) the continuing ministry of women and men in leadership roles.

We welcome all who are searching for a spiritual home where they are accepted for who they are and as they are. We hope to continue to grow as a community with a focus on increasing diversity. As we grow not only in numbers, but as a fully operational faith community, practical needs grow. The community stands on the shoulders of the volunteers who dedicate untold time and talent, and the generosity of those whose financial gifts enable us to "turn the lights on." While volunteerism is still the back-bone of the community, we are currently working toward sustaining into the future a full-time pastor, a music minister, and administrative aide that we might work with further energy and focus to strengthen our community to be an effective presence in the greater community and beyond. In order to pay all employees a fair wage and engage a full time pastor, we have a "10-10-10 Plan" for the next 5 years:

  • Increase Sunday collection by 10% each year
  • Increase membership by 10% each year
  • Bring in 10 major gifts per year
  • For more information - see Donations.
