Mary Magdalene Apostle Catholic Community logo

Our Priorities

MMACC offers to serve as a beacon of hope to other reform-minded Catholics who desire change in the Catholic Church.

"Mass" comes from the Latin "missa" meaning "dimissal." At Mass, we are gathered in to be "dismissed," to be sent forth. The word "apostle" simply means "one who is sent." Like Mary Magdalene, "the one sent" to the apostles, so too are we called out to bring, and to be, good news, especially to those who can no longer worship with integrity in the canonical church, or have not been welcome as full members of the body of Christ that they are. We seek to be the body of Christ in the world, and to share with all the grace of Jesus the Christ, the limitless love of God, and the surpassing peace of the Holy Spirit. Opportunities we use to be more visible:

  • Media (press releases, religion event calendars, community and regional newspapers)
  • Articles (local, regional and national publications)
  • Speaking Engagements (local, regional and nationally as requested)
  • Conferences (as hosts, attendees, or presenters)
  • See Print Media Coverage and Video Gallery for sample coverage.
