San Diego CA. June 4, 2014

Mary Magdalene Apostle Catholic Community announces that Nancy Corran has been promoted to Interim Pastor through the end of 2014. At that time, the Community hopes to offer her the permanent pastor position. Nancy Corran, ordained a priest by Mary Magdalene apostle Catholic Community in 2010, holds a Diploma of Theology from Exeter College at Oxford University and received a Master of Divinity degree from the San Francisco Theological Seminary of the Graduate Theological Union. In addition, she has additional studies in biblical languages and theology. Corran has been part of the Pastoral team at Mary Magdalene since 2007.She is married to Rus Kosits and they have a son who is 2.

Mary Magdalene Apostle Catholic Community is a community of progressive Catholics who support women’s ordination, strive to live the Gospel values of compassion, peace and social justice as taught by Jesus, the Christ, and create a new model of church community . This new model celebrates full equality and diversity through radical inclusivity in its ministry, worship and language. The Mary Magdalene Apostle Catholic Community was founded in 2005 by Dr. Jane Via, RCWP and Rev. Rod Stephens. It is a California 501©3c Corporation. Via retired as Pastor on Easter 2014. Stephens will continue to serve as Assoc. Pastor.
