MISSION STATEMENT

Mary Magdalene Apostle Catholic Community was established by a Roman Catholic Woman Priest and a Roman Catholic priest. Our community strives to live the change we envision in the Church by restoring women’s ordination, making Catholicism relevant in the modern world, welcoming all at God’s table, and affirming the dignity and full equality of all human beings.

TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WE…

• Embrace those marginalized by the institutional church, demonstrating respect for diversity in our language, liturgy, music, and ministry.
•  Respond to the prophetic call of the Holy Spirit, while honoring our Roman Catholic roots.
•  Strive to live the gospel values of love, compassion, peace, respect, and social justice as exemplified by Jesus the Christ, both in our community and in the world.
•  Follow a new model of church community as a discipleship of equals with democratic, transparent, and accountable governance.
•  Acknowledge our communion with all God’s creation, caring for the earth and practicing environmental responsibility.
